Location

The current main Gogreen hub is located at the prominent Monorail Beach Station where the buses, taxi stands, car park and monorail converge.

Segways® are available for rent and tourists/ visitors/ residents can choose between the ‘Fun Ride’ and Eco Adventure Trail. The hub also consists of a training ground where visitors can train in a guided and safe environment.

Eco-friendly facts about the Gogreen Hub

  • The Gogreen hub was designed with eco-natural focus in mind. It was planned with very efficient natural ventilation, high ceilings and collapsible doors.
  • The hub is situated under trees to reduce heat.
  • At least 50% of the hub was built from recycled materials. A 40 ft recycled container has been used to construct the main structure.
  • Local materials like lava / natural rock were used for flooring to save on washing / detergent pollution.
  • Non-filament lights were used.
  • Sustainable generating electricity devices like wind turbines used and solar panels have been deployed on the roof.
  • Paths, training areas and tracks do not use deeply entrenched concrete layers so that the natural environment will not be disturbed.
  • The hub can be easily converted and deployed without having to do any major alterations or destroying the land it is sitting on.
  • Recycling bins have been provided to encourage reuse, reduce and recycle.
